December 2022 - March 2024

I work as a qualitative researcher on an EDI (equality, diversity and inclusion) research project. This project is part of Newcastle University's Athena SWAN application.

*Athena SWAN (Scientific Women's Academic Network) is a quality charter mark framework and accreditation scheme established and managed by the UK Equality Challenge Unit (now part of Advance HE) in 2005 that recognises and celebrates good practices in higher education and research institutions towards the advancement of gender equality: representation, progression and success.
February - June 2023
Associated with HASS Faculty, Newcastle University
As part of LGBT History Month, I work collectively with lecturers and students at Newcastle University to collect, analyse and display photographs that capture how spaces cultivate, shape, and impede LGBTQ+ inclusivity on campus.
This project is a SACS EDI initiative supported by HASS EDI. It helps raise awareness of LGBTQ+ inclusivity on campus.
Results of the project are displayed as a gallery on the University website.
September 2021 - June 2022
Associated with HASS Faculty, Newcastle University
I worked as part of the Research and Education for Sustainable Development (PGRRESD) project. The project comprises a multi-disciplinary team of PhD candidates at Newcastle University. It aimed to create spaces for research students to explore sustainable development from different perspectives based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) Framework.
In November 2021, PGRRESD successfully organised a four-day workshop called ‘Sustaina-WHAT?!’.
The outcome of the project was presented at various conferences, namely National Sustainability Symposium 2022, Learning & Teaching Conference 2022 at Newcastle University and Northumbria University.
In June 2022, the project was nominated and won the Environment Award in the annual 'Celebrating Success' event at Newcastle University.

June - July 2021
Associated with Newcastle University Business School
I work as part of a research project on cross-culture and sustainable development goals (SDGs) in education. The project is led by a senior lecturer at Newcastle University Business School.
My role is to gather questions, evaluate sources, and plan for an experiment. The experiment is run as a stimulation game for postgraduate students during the Induction week.
Results from the project was presented at Newcastle University Learning & Teaching Conference 2022.
April 2021 - April 2022
Associated with Institute for Social Sciences, Newcastle University
I lead a research project on Acculturative stress amongst international students of underrepresented groups in the UK. This project is funded by NU Institute for Social Sciences.
Initial results from this research was presented at the 5th International Conference of Marketing, Strategy & Policy.
